Adjust font size:

Chinese fencers Lei Sheng and Zhu Jun advanced to the men's foil top eight at Olympics in Beijing on Wednesday.

Lei Sheng, ranked 8th in the world, defeated Slawomir Mocek from Poland 15-8 in the round of 16, while China's top seed Zhu Jun outscored Gerek Meinhardt from the United States at 15-9.

"Since I am the youngest in the U.S. fencing team, I will look to the London Games for better performance," said Meinhardt after losing the match.

"Chinese fencers absolutely did a good job today," added the 18-year-old.
