Ole Bischof from Germany outscored South Korean Kim Jaebum in the final of men's 81kg-class judo to win his first Olympic title on Tuesday evening at the Beijing Games.

Bischof, 28, managed the only score of yuko to defeat Kim in the five-munite bout that the two had cautiously played. His success also became the second gold medal for Germany at the Games.

Struggling to make a way to the final, Asian champion Kim defeated world No. 4-ranked Guillaume Elmont of Netherlands in the semifinal for an overtime game in which he succeeded to hold Elmont on the mat for the last 12 seconds.

Tiago Camilo, world ranked fifth in 2008, from Brazil ipponed Elmont despite of a koka loss at the beginning to win a bronze medal.

Nyamkhuu Damdinsuren of Mongolia seesawed with Roman Gontiuk from Ukraine in the other bronze medal match, both making a waza-ari in the bout. Gontiuk upset Damdinsuren who nearly won the first medal for Mongolia with a yuko later.
