Rebecca Adlington of Britain won the gold medal of women's 400m freestyle at Beijing Olympic Games here on Monday.

Adlington was timed at 4:03.22 for the title, followed by Katie Hoff of the United States in the second place at 4:03.29. The bronze medal was taken by Joanne Jackson of Britain in 4:03.52.
