The whole world have been impressed with the smiling face of a lovely girl who flied a kite with her feet 20 meters away from the Bird Nest ground Friday at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games.

The "flying" girl is nine-year-old Zhu Qiaoyan, nicknamed Qiao Qiao by her "colleagues" here for the grand ceremony, who "walked" from one side to another over the National Stadium and completed all her task of flying a kite in the air with the help of PIGI project.

"I could even make other difficult moves in the air, but uncle director told me only to fly the kite like a routine," said Qiao Qiao from Huainan of east China's Anhui province, before starting for the ceremony.

Qiao Qiao, who began to learn acrobatics two years ago, arrived in Beijing in June specially for the ceremony perform, and have been highly praised by the directors.

"We made a special protector for Qiao Qiao, especially to protect her waist, which could be the smallest waist protector in the world," said Dong Zhengzhen, one of the director staff. "For sure we'll pay most attention to her secure."
