The Chinese wrestling team will not appear in the Olympic Village until three days before the matches, said a team official in Beijing on Sunday.

The wrestling matches will be held from August 12th to 21st, according to the time schedule. The three Chinese wrestling teams, including men's Greco-Roman, freestyle and women's freestyle, will stay in their training camp based in the Olympic Center Stadium in northern part of Beijing.

"We won't move into the Olympic Village before the opening ceremony of the Games," said Li Shan, a senior official of the wrestling team.

"The greco-roman team will be the first to check in, on August 9th," said Li.

The greco-roman wrestling matches will be held first, from August 12th to 14th. Women's freestyle wrestling will last for two days after one-day's rest, from 16th to 17th, which means the Chinese wrestling team will leave their camp on August 13th. The men's freestyle team will be the last on 16th.

The team will leave early, unlike their hesitated move-in.

"Once the matches are over, our athletes will leave at the very second day," said Li.

The 16 Chinese wrestlers, who set up the new records for China to have players in Olympics, will compete in 16 classes. Women wrestlers are the possible medal-chaser while 20-year-old Wang Jiao replaced Athens champion Wang Xu just before the Chinese delegation announced its full list.
