Russian star pole vaulter Yelena Isinbayeva said she would try her utmost to win an Olympic gold for her country, and break once again the world record she set last Tuesday.
Isinbayeva made the remarks upon her arrival at Beijing's Capital International Airport Sunday afternoon.
She told reporters it was her first trip to China and she would take some time to see around to have her own experience of the Olympic host city.
Isinbayeva has established 23 world records for the event which makes her a firm favourite for gold at the Olympic Games.
Isinbayeva's recent breakthrough took place at the Super Grand Prix meeting in Monaco last week where she set a new women's pole vault world record of 5.04 meters.

As often compared with Ukrainian pole vault legend Sergei Bubka who broke the world records for 35 times, Isinbayeva said prior to her trip to Beijing that her aim is to set up 36 world records and participate in the 2012 London Olympics at age of 30.
