DPR Korean shooter Kim Jong Su, a bronze medalist at the Athens Olympics, has vowed to get a better result, leaving no regret in Beijing.
"My bronze medal obtained in Athens was not come up to DPR Korean people's expectations," Kim Jong Su, who competed in 50-meter pistol in Athens, was quoted by Choson Sinbo, a newspaper run by ethnic Koreans in Japan, as saying on Wednesday.
A total of six DPR Korean shooters have qualified for the Beijing Olympic Games. It will be the 8th time for DPR Korea to send shooters to Olympics. In 1972, a DPR Korean shooter won the gold medal of the men's 50-meter rifle and toppled the world record.
Kim is pinned hope to gain medal in Beijing, for he has been crowned many times in the Asian shooting arena.
"I never forget the regret left at the Athens Games. I have worked hard in these years in order to reach a higher goal," Kim said. "I am determined to gain a better result to live up to DPR Korean people's hopes."
