Chinese women's national soccer team has greatly improved their physical conditions to meet high demand of Olympic competition, fitness coach Mark Laws said in Qinhuangdao on Monday.
"Graph record shows every player's fitness has been greatly enhanced since June's Asian Cup," the Englishman told Xinhua. "They won't get trouble on fitness at the Olympics."
The fitness improvements would help the players to play more aggressively against Sweden in their Olympic opening match, he said.
In regarding to star striker Ma Xiaoxu's injury, he said: "Ma is getting better day by day."
"She does not feel pain again," Laws said. "But the injury still mentally influences her performance."
The young talent, who injured her right knee in the friendly match against New Zealand last year, returned to the national team just one month ago.
Ma played 15 minutes in China's warm-up against Nigeria two days ago, and also had ten-minute display in the tune-up against New Zealand on July 20.
"Ma could get more time for display at the Olympics," Laws said. "It depends on coach Shang Rihua's decision."
