Chief coach of the Badminton Federation of Nigeria Samson Egbeyemi on Thursday in Abuja said Nigeria's sole entrant in badminton at the Olympics Games, Grace Daniels, is capable of winning a medal in Beijing.

Egebeyemi said Daniels was in top form and that her chances of winning a medal in Beijing were bright.

According to him, Daniels was expected in Nigeria from her training base in Germany to continue with her training in Nigeria ahead of the Olympics.

"She had been training hard and when she arrive in Nigeria, she will continue in the same pace to sustain her form for the Olympic Games," he said,

"She is in excellent form and she did well in the last two tournaments she attended."

"We expect her to do the African continent proud in Beijing," he said.

Daniels emerged female champion in the Mauritius International tournament, which featured all African players who qualified for the Beijing Games.

She was runner-up in the Nigeria International, which also featured the same players.
