Li Fuyu has made astonishing progress in recent years. He joined the Marco Polo Cycling Team in 2005 and soon became a top rider. He won the 2006 Tour of Thailand, making him the first Chinese rider to win an international cycling event. In 2007, he was signed by Lance Armstrong’s Team Discovery Channel. As of 2008, he has returned to the reformed Trek-Marco Polo Cycling Team and is eyeing a solid performance at the Beijing Games.
