Former world champion Zara Phillips has been ruled out of Britain's Olympic eventing team because of an injury to her horse, the British Olympic Association (BOA) said on Wednesday.
Phillips, 27, the 2006 world champion and a grand-daughter of Queen Elizabeth, pulled out after her horse Toytown sustained an injury.
"I am very disappointed not to have the opportunity to ride at the Olympic Games and feel that Toytown deserved his chance to go, " she said in a statement.
The BOA said a replacement rider and horse combination would be announced shortly.
