After four rotations of competition, Russian gymnast Olga Kapranova topped the final squad of 10 qualifiers in Thursday's Individual All-Round qualifications of the 2007 Rhythmic Gymnastics International Invitational Tournament.
Olga Kapranova, the 2005 World All-around Champion also achieved the highest individual score of 18.475 in the club exercise and achieved high-level presentations in the other three rotations with individual scores of 18.175, 18.275, and 18.300 in the rope, hoop, and ribbon exercises, respectively.
Second on the qualifying list, Anna Bessonova, who Kapranova considers a talented opponent, is a world champion from Ukraine. She collected a total score of 72.100 with individual scores of 18.00, 18.250, 17.750, and 18.100 in the rope, hoop, club, and ribbon exercises, respectively.
The remaining eight qualifying spots for the final went to Aliya Garayeva of Azerbaijan, Aliya Yussupova of Kazakhstan, Lyubov Cherkashina of Belarus, Irina Risenzon of Israel, Almudena Cid of Spain, Alexandra Orlando of Canada, Stela Sultanova of Bulgaria, and Ding Yidan of China.
