Indigenous singers from Chinese Taiwan premiered in Shanghai
last night, highlighting an Olympic-themed public good concert.
Themed "singing the Olympics aloud, imaging the future of the
Chinese", the concert was featured by Taiwanese Amis people's group
Ma-Lan Choir, as well as superstars including Harlem Yu, Winnie
Hsin and Fan Wei Chi.
Some short-listed songs for the Beijing Olympic theme songs,
such as "China, World," were well received by music fans.
Aiming at facilitating the solicitation and promotion of the
Beijing Olympic theme song and wide-spreading the Olympic spirit
among the Chinese, more concerts are expected to be staged in the
mainland ahead of the 29th Olympiad which opens on 8 August
2008.
