The Hungarian Consulate General in Shanghai has launched the
"Year of Hudec," a series of activities to commemorate the
Hungarian architect Laszlo Hudec.
The public is invited to participate in activities throughout
the year, including site visits, seminars, book launches and social
activities.
In the 1920s and 1930s, Hudec designed some of the city's
signature buildings, including the Park Hotel, the Christian
Literature Society, the Union Brewery and Moore Memorial
Church.
This year marks the 115th anniversary of Hudec's birth and the
50th anniversary of his death.
