A rebuilt archway in Xidan, one of Beijing's most famous shopping areas, was unveiled on Wednesday, China News Service reported.
The archway, which is now bigger than the original, is located in a new cultural plaza at the south end of the North Xidan Street.
Built in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), the archway was a landmark in Xidan. It was demolished in the 1950s to allow the road to be expanded.
