Capital Normal University, located in Beijing is a key university funded by the Beijing municipal government, and is well-known for its role in cultural transmission and innovation. Undergraduate programs
Capital Normal University is a comprehensive normal university offering 46 undergraduate majors and 63 specialties. There are 9 majors covering philosophy, economics, science of law, pedagogy, literature, history, science, engineering and management.
Currently the university's main departments are Primary Education, World History, Comparative literature, Musicology (normal), Arts (normal), English (normal), Literature of Chinese (normal), Mathematics and Applied Mathematics (normal), Bioscience, Bioscience (normal), and Biotechnology.
Application processing
Applications must be submitted before January 31 and July 31 each year respectively for the spring semester and the fall semester. All applicants need to present certificates and academic records from their previous school. Examinations, both written and oral, are scheduled at the beginning of the initial semester
Accommodation
Single-room charges are 12,000 RMB per year (US$1575). The facilities include bathtub, shower, washing room, telephone, television, fridge (for rent 100RMB/month), air-conditioner, safe, kitchen (with electromagnetic stove and micro-wave oven), washing machine (charge: 3 RMB per wash), Internet interface.

The College of International Education is the faculty responsible for the university's overseas programme. CNU is also an HSK exam center.
