M5.3 earthquake rocks China-Tajikistan-Kyrgyzstan border

An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted the border area of China, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan at 5:23 p.m. Monday, the China Earthquake Administration said.

No reports of casualties or damages were immediately available at the moment.

The epicenter was fixed at 39.5 degrees north latitude and 73.9 degrees east longitude, according to information from the country's seismological network.
