NATO soldier, civilian killed in Afghan explosion

A soldier serving the NATO-led ISAF military and a civilian interpreter were killed Tuesday in an explosion during a patrol in central Afghan province of Ghazni, the military alliance said.

The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in a statement said another two ISAF soldiers were also wounded in the blast.

It did not release the casualty's nationality or give more information.

Currently an around 47,000 international troops under the flag of NATO-led ISAF are deployed in Afghanistan to help with reconstruction and stabilizing security of the war-torn country.
