Rice not to visit North Korea during Asia trip
Adjust font size:

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Friday she does not plan to visit North Korea during her three-nation Asia trip next week.

"I just don't think it's something useful at this time," Rice said at a press conference.

Rice will travel to Seoul, Beijing and Tokyo from February 25-27 and the top priority will be North Korea's nuclear issue.

However, as the New York Philharmonic will visit North Korea at about the same time, some media has speculated that Rice might embark on the DPRK trip.
