Top South Korean negotiator Chun Yung-woo said Thursday morning
he is going to meet other five chief negotiators to discuss the
resolving of North Korea's frozen funds issue.
Chun told reporters when leaving hotel that he was going to the
Diaoyutai Guesthouse to attend a chief negotiators' meeting. "The
six parties have the political willingness to resolve the frozen
funds issue, but the technical problems with the issue have not
been resolved yet," said Chun.
He said only after the top negotiators meeting can we know how
the issue will be resolved.
The sixth round of six-party talks scheduled to end on Wednesday
are extended to Thursday due to the unresolved technical problems
with the releasing of North Korea's US$25-million funds frozen in a
Macao-based bank.
