Calderon pledged Mexico would increase exports to China, adding the two governments should create conditions for mutual investment, and strengthen cooperation on agriculture, environmental protection and renewable energy.
He wished for a successful Beijing Olympic Games.
After talks, the two countries signed several documents, in addition to the agreement on improving and protecting mutual investment.
The two countries also issued a joint press communique on Friday.
The communique said the two heads of states agreed to strengthen consultations in the United Nations and other international organizations to upgrade multilateralism.
