China urged parties to solve Iran's nuclear problem via dialogue and negotiation Tuesday.
"China had noticed that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) had released a report on Iran's nuclear issue, and China appreciated IAEA's effort in solving the problem," said Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu at a regular press conference.
A six-page report released Monday to the 35-nation IAEA board and the U.N. Security Council said resolution of Iran's nuclear issue had arrived at a gridlock, with no substantive progress made since the last report which was submitted in May of this year.
China hopes Iran will continue cooperation with IAEA to solve the problem soon, said Jiang. She emphasized that China believes dialogue and negotiation are the only ways to come to a solution.
