Mexican President Felipe Calderon Hinojosa arrived in Shanghai Wednesday night, kicking off a four-day state visit to China at the invitation of Chinese President Hu Jintao.
This is the first China tour of Calderon since he took office in December 2006
During his visit, President Hu will hold talks with him, and Chinese top legislator Wu Bangguo and Premier Wen Jiabao will meet him respectively.
Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi and Mexican Secretary of Foreign Relations Patricia Espinosa Cantellano will preside the third session of the China-Mexico Bi-national Commission.
After his visit in Shanghai, Calderon is scheduled to start visit in Beijing on Thursday evening.
