Adjust font size:

Kosovo citizens went to the polls on Saturday to vote in parliamentary and local elections amid tight security and scrutiny.

The elections, which would last from 7 a.m. local time (06:00 GMT) to 19 p.m. (18:00 GMT), were monitored by some 150 Council of Europe observers and 25,000 local monitors while NATO-led KFOR's 16,000-strong peacekeepers and around 9,000 police were on guard against any disturbance in the Serbian breakaway province.
