China and Britain held their second round of strategic
dialogue on Friday, with both sides exchanging views on
current international situation, Sino-Britain and Sino-EU
relations.
Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui and Simon McDonald,
advisor to British Prime Minister on foreign and defence issues,
and Jon Cunliffe, advisor on international economic affairs and
Europe, attended the dialogue.
The two sides agreed to continue to consolidate bilateral
relations, keep high-level visits, deepen mutually-beneficial
cooperation, and strengthen coordination in major international
affairs so as to push ahead China-Britain comprehensive strategic
partnership.
The first round of this bilateral meeting was held in December
of 2005.
