Vietnam will hold a caravan road-show in several northern
Vietnamese localities and southern Chinese ones on Oct. 27-31 to
promote national images and trade exchanges between enterprises of
the two countries, local newspaper Investment reported Friday.
The caravan road-show, to be organized by the Vietnamese
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant sectors and localities,
will take place along the route of Hanoi Lang Son Friendship Border
Gate Pingxiang Nanning Beihai.
In the Chinese city of Nanning, Vietnamese enterprises will meet
with potential partners from China and other countries which
participate in the 2007 China-ASEAN (the Association of Southeast
Asian Nations) Trade Fair.
The caravan road-show is aimed at facilitating Vietnam-China
cooperation under the framework of two economic corridors and one
economic belt, the newspaper said.
Trade between Vietnam and China grew to over US$9.95 billion in
2006 from 8.2 billion dollars in 2005, according to the Chinese
Commercial Ministry.
