China signed an agreement with Cambodia in Phnom Penh on Monday
to send four youth volunteers to the kingdom to help improve the
government's computer and agricultural technology services.
Chinese Ambassador Zhang Jinfeng and President of Youth
Association of Cambodia Men Kuon signed the agreement on behalf of
both sides.
Under the agreement, the Chinese youth volunteers will provide
services of computer and agricultural technology in public
institutions designated by the Cambodian side, and their service
period is principally one year from the arrival date.
The agreement aims to enhance the mutual understanding and
friendship between the youths of China and Cambodia and promote the
friendship and exchange in all fields between the two sides.
Human resource exchange is among the pivotal cooperation fields
between China and Cambodia. From 1993 to 2006, China sent 35
specialists to Cambodia for technology guidance and training, while
around 380 Cambodian government officials and economic and
technologic talents accepted training in China.
