Malaysia will host the World Shippers' Conference (WSC) next
month to discuss challenges and solutions on global logistics and
goods transportation.
The event, which is scheduled to take place in Kuala Lumpur on
Sept. 18, will focus on the latest global logistics issues
affecting international traders, especially shipping issues,
according to the Malaysian National Shippers's Council, which is
organizing the event.
The topics of the conference will include abolishing collective
rate setting by carriers, terminal handling charges,
anti-monopolistic practices, ASEAN logistics network map, and the
way forward for Asian shippers.
Some 300 delegates from various parts of the world are expected
to attend the conference, including some leaders in the
international shipping industry.
