Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi will attend a series of foreign ministers' meetings from July 22 to 23 in Thailand, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang on Wednesday.
The meetings are the foreign ministers' meeting between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the foreign ministers' meeting between ASEAN and China, Japan and the Republic of Korea.
Other meetings include the foreign ministers' unofficial consultation of the East Asia Summit, and the foreign ministers' meeting of the 16th ASEAN Regional Forum, said Qin.
The meetings will be held at Thailand's southern resort island of Phuket.
"Yang will exchange views with all parties on cooperation between China and the ASEAN as well as East Asia, future development orientation of the above mechanisms and regional and international issues of mutual concern," said Qin.
ASEAN groups Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
