The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) is apparently on its move to fire a medium-range missile in its southeastern region, a South Korean congressman was quoted as saying by South Korea's Yonhap News Agency on Tuesday.
After a briefing with high-level defense officials, the congressman said the DPRK was preparing the firing at a missile base in Anbyeon, Gangwon Province, along the nation's East Sea.
A medium-range missile is known to be able to fly 2,500 to 5, 000 km, according to local news channel YTN.
The DPRK is known to be preparing for launching an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) as early as mid June, Yonhap said.
