China condemns the terrorist explosions in Pakistan, Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said in a press release Friday.
"We express our deep condolences over the deaths and extend our sympathy to their family members and those who were wounded in the incidents," he said.
As a good neighbor and friend of Pakistan, China supports the efforts of the Pakistani government and people to combat terrorism and maintain social stability, Qin said.
Media in Pakistan reported that terrorist explosions happened over the past days in Lahore, Peshawar and other places, which claimed dozens of lives and injured hundreds of others. The exact figures are not available.
Pakistani Taliban on Thursday claimed responsibility for a suicide attack in Lahore to avenge a military offensive in the northwest and vowed further deadly strikes, according to local press reports.
