A Turkish court charged eight suspects accused of killing 44 people in an armed attack on a wedding party ceremony in southeastern Turkey, Dogan News Agency reported Wednesday.
Turkish Interior Minister Besir Atalay said on Tuesday that the eight suspected people were detained for the wedding attack in southeastern Turkey late Monday.
Turkish security forces captured eight suspects together with their weapons based on statements of several eyewitnesses.
A group of masked gunmen armed with automatic rifles attacked a wedding party in Bilge village of Mazidagi town of Mardin province on Monday evening, killing 44 people including the bride and the groom, officials were quoted as saying by the semi-official Anatolia news agency Tuesday.
