Three persons were wounded in a shooting in a Virginia university on Sunday, a local report said.
According to the WAVY TV's website, Hampton police has confirmed that there was a shooting incident that happened around Saturday midnight in a freshman's dormitory of the Hampton University.
According to the police, an 18-year-old man from New York, who used to study in the university, shot the night manager and a pizza delivery man before turning the gun on himself.
All of the three were sent to hospital and there was no student involved in the shooting, police said.
"The Hampton University community is praying for those injured in this tragic incident," said Hampton President William R. Harvey in a statement.
After the shooting, the school dorm was evacuated within minutes and an alert text sent to students reading "there has been a shooting at Harkness Hall. The suspect has been apprehended and the campus is safe."
However, police did not have the motive for the shooting.
