China and Germany signed an implementation agreement on a contingency management project in Beijing Tuesday.
Chinese State Councilor Ma Kai attended the signing ceremony,saying "We hope the project would enhance bilateral cooperation in areas such as the law, system and mechanism construction and personnel training when it comes to contingency management."
"We hope our cooperation will make fruitful achievements," Ma, also secretary-general of the State Council and president of the China National School of Administration (CNSA), told a delegation of senior officials from the German Ministry of the Interior.
Ma briefed the delegation on China's efforts in emergency management, saying that to effectively prevent and cope with all kinds of emergencies was an important task for all countries in the world.
The implementation agreement was signed by the CNSA and the German Technical Cooperation, which is an international enterprise for sustainable development with worldwide operations.
The Sino-German contingency management project was the first important international cooperation item by the CNSA in this area.
