Russian cosmonaut Yury Lonchakov and United States' astronaut Michael Fincke completed a five-hour spacewalk early Wednesday, one hour ahead of the schedule, Russian media said.
The International Space Station crew members installed an European scientific equipment and examined the surface of the Russian ISS segment during their four hour 50 minutes mission, Interfax cited a ground mission control center official.
They also fulfilled a number of technical missions that they had no time to accomplish during their first spacewalk in December 2008.
The next spacewalk was slated for June this year, when the ISS crew will make preparation for the dock of a Russian capsule.
