After Russia resumed flow of natural gas via Ukraine to European countries, natural gas from the western line of Russia reached Turkey on Wednesday morning, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported on Wednesday.
The report quoted Executives from the Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Ministry and BOTAS Petroleum Pipeline Corporation as saying that pressure of natural gas would increase gradually in the day and it would reach the normal level Wednesday evening.
According to the report, Turkey was getting 40 million cubic meters of natural gas a day from the western line before the ( natural gas) crisis.
Russia's Natural Gas monopoly, Gazprom cut the natural gas flow to Ukraine on Jan. 1 after dispute with this country over natural gas prices.
On Jan. 6, Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler announced that the flow of natural gas from the western line of Russia to Turkey via Ukraine completely stopped.
