Jordanian King Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein met in Amman on Monday with visiting top Chinese political advisor Jia Qinglin, and they exchanged views on furthering bilateral relations.

Jia, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), spoke highly of Abdullah's positive contributions to the development of Sino-Jordanian relations.
Jia said the Chinese side attaches great importance to bilateral relations and will work with the Jordanian side to keep high-level contacts, continue to support each other on issues concerning their respective key and major interests, and comprehensively promote bilateral substantial cooperation in various fields.
Abdullah said Jordan takes China as its partner for strategic cooperation, places much importance on its relationship with China, and will make concerted efforts with China to further bilateral strategic and cooperative relations.
Jia arrived here Sunday on an official goodwill visit as guest of Jordanian Senate President Zaid al-Rifaee.
Jordan is the first leg of Jia's four-nation visit which will also take him to Turkey, Laos and Cambodia.
