Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao left Beijing Tuesday morning to attend the UN high-level meeting on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) scheduled on September 25 in New York.

Wen was invited by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. He is also scheduled to attend the general debate of the 63rd session of the UN General Assembly.
