Adjust font size:

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice left Beijing on Monday afternoon, concluding her two-day visit to China.

During her stay in Beijing, Rice met with Chinese President Hu Jintao, Premier Wen Jiabao and State Councilor Dai Bingguo, respectively, and held talks with Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, who invited her for the visit.

The two sides exchanged views on the issues of bilateral relationship and major regional and international issues of common concern, such as the Taiwan issue, six-party talks, and Beijing Olympic Games, according to China's Foreign Ministry.

Rice arrived at Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province, on Sunday to start her China tour, visiting the quake-hit area of Dujiangyan city.

She is the highest-rank US official to visit China's quake-hit area.
