Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zheng Xianglin handed over
anti-cancer medicines and equipment worth around US$18,000 to the
Nepali government in Kathmandu on Monday.
Zheng, on behalf of Chinese Ministry of Health, handed over the
assistance to B.P. Koirala Cancer Hospital through Secretary of
Nepali Ministry of Health and Population Ram Chandra Man Singh at a
ceremony.
Zheng said as close neighbors, China and Nepal are ready to help
each other and China had already sent four medical teams to the
B.P. Koirala Cancer Hospital.
Expressing grief over the recent flood and landslide in Nepal
which killed hundreds of lives, he said the Chinese government is
willing to offer assistance to the flood victims of Nepal through
Chinese Red Cross Society.
Singh expressed appreciation for the continuous assistance
offered by the Chinese government for Nepal's health sector.
