The first group of the second Chinese peacekeeping troop to
Sudan set out from Zhengzhou, Henan Province, on Tuesday, to
continue implementing the UN peacekeeping mission.
The group will replace the first Chinese peacekeeping troop and
the rest personnel of the second peacekeeping troop will also set
out soon, sources say.
The new group, made up of 135 officers and soldiers, will
undertake missions of building roads, bridges and airports, as well
as water and power supply and heating facilities, and help destroy
weapons and ammunition.
