Adjust font size:

State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan on Wednesday met with visiting Slovakia Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Kubis, predicting a rosy prospect of bilateral relations.

"The future of China-Slovakia relations will be bright," Tang said Wednesday afternoon in Beijing.

Kubis said the Slovakian government attached great importance to its relations with China.

Tang said he expected the two countries to maintain the political dialogue at various levels.

He also proposed the two countries beef up cooperation on tourism, culture, education, science and technology and health.

Kubis said his country admired the economic boom China has made and appreciated China's role in international affairs.

The Slovakian government will, as always, adhere to the one-China policy and support China's reunifications cause, he said.

Also on Wednesday, Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing held talks with Kubis.

Kubis was here on a working visit to China from December 19 to 21 at the invitation of Li.
