Chinese and Peruvian foreign ministers said in Hanoi, Vietnam
yesterday that the two countries will make joint efforts to expand
their mutual-beneficial cooperation.
During a meeting with his Peruvian counterpart Jose Antonio
Garcia Belaunde, Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing said that this year
marks the 35 anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties
between the two countries and both sides had held a series of
activities of celebration.
"The Chinese side will seek this opportunity, together with the
Peruvian side, to constantly expand our mutual-beneficial
cooperation, and enrich the contents of our all-around partnership
of cooperation to benefit peoples of our two countries," Li
said.
Belaunde spoke highly of China's development and reaffirmed
Peru's recognition of China's status of a full market economy.
He also thanked China for its years' support and aid to Peru,
saying that Peru is willing to join hands with China to push
bilateral cooperation in all fields to a new high.
