"The president realizes the importance of China as a dialogue partner of ASEAN," spokesman Dino Pati Djalal said.

During his visit, President Susilo is to present at the main event of the ASEAN-China commemorate summit on October 30-31 in Nanning, capital of China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Dino said.

"On October 30, President Susilo, who is among those signing a joint statement of the summit, will attend the main event, the commemoration of the 15-year ASEAN-China partnership relations," said Dino.

In the evening, the president is to have a dinner invited by the Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, said Dino.

Before the summit, Susilo is scheduled to attend the Indonesia-China Energy Forum in Shanghai on October 27-29, the spokesman said.

On October 28, the president is to open the 2nd Indonesia-China Energy Forum, deliver a welcoming speech and witness the signing of an agreement on energy between the companies from the two countries, according to Dino.

In addition, Susilo is going to have a field trip to the Shanghai garbage power plant, a company that turns garbage into energy, and have a number of visits in Guilin, one of China's tourist attractions in Guangxi said the spokesman.
