Wen: China Concerned About Stability in Darfur
Adjust font size:

Premier Wen Jiabao said in London on Wednesday that China was concerned about stability in Darfur in Sudan and hoped that peace would soon return to the region, ridding its people of suffering.

Wen made the remarks at a press conference after talks with his British counterpart Tony Blair.

China had tried its best in offering Darfur humanitarian assistance, he said, adding that China supported the international community's decision to send peacekeeping forces to the region.

However, Wen said that in order to better implement the resolution, it should be approved by the Sudanese government and the African Union.
