Adjust font size:

Luo Gan, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Monday called for greater cooperation with Malaysia on legal affairs in a meeting with Malaysia's Chief Justice Ahmad Fairuz Sheikh Abdul Halim.

China and Malaysia have established effective exchanges and cooperation on judicial and legal affairs, Luo said, vowing to continue efforts with the Malaysian side to boost mutual cooperation.

The two countries have witnessed smooth development of bilateral relations since they forged diplomatic relations over the three decades ago, Luo said, noting that the two sides have established good cooperation in economic, scientific, technological, cultural and educational friends.

China will strengthen the exchange and cooperation in the judicial field with Malaysia in a bid to promote bilateral relations, Luo said.

Fairuz said Malaysia hopes to learn China's experience in judicial construction and expects to forge closer cooperative ties with Chinese Judicial Organs.
