Luo Gan, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Friday called for greater cooperation with Japan on legal affairs in a meeting with Japanese Justice Minister Sugiura Seiken.

China and Japan have established effective exchanges and cooperation on judicial and legal affairs, Luo said, vowing to continue efforts with the Japanese side to boost mutual cooperation.

The important neighbors have shared a profound friendship, Luo said, calling for cooperation to achieve peaceful coexistence and common prosperity.

Sugiura said the Japanese government is committed to exchanges and cooperation with China, including in the judicial and legal fields.
