The Chinese government has approved assistance for Samoa to
build a new multi million dollar headquarters for the Lands and
Titles court.
According to Tuesday's reports from Pacific Magazine, a
local news service, the financial aid package will also construct a
separate complex to house offices for parliamentarians next to the
parliament house at Mulinu'u peninsular.
Samoa's Finance Minister, Niko Lee Hang, has thanked the Chinese
government for their generosity in extinguishing Samoa's debt of
approximately US$11.5 million.
China has also provided US$6 million to upgrade a sports stadium
in preparation for 2007 South Pacific Games.
China has already help to build an aquatic center for swim
competition.
