Austrian Parliament Willing to Promote Austria-China Ties
Adjust font size:

The Austrian parliament will continue to promote Austria's friendly cooperation with China and push forward the all-around development of bilateral ties, Austria's President of the National Council Andreas Khol said on Thursday.

In a meeting with head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Wang Jiarui, Khol said Austria's parliament and people think highly of China's achievements since its opening up to the outside.

China's fast economic growth and its continuously rising international status have created new opportunities for Austria, said Khol.

For his part, Wang said the Sino-Austrian relations have maintained a momentum of development over the past years, with frequent exchanges of high-level visits and increasing mutual understanding and trust.

The CPC and the Chinese people appreciate Austria's support to China's national reunification cause, Wang said.

The CPC and the Chinese government are ready to push forward the friendly cooperation between the two countries in all fields, he said.

Wang arrived in Vienna on Thursday for an official visit.
