Seychelles' President James Michel met a visiting delegation of
Chinese legislators headed by Ismail Amat, vice chairman of the
Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress in the
capital Victoria on Tuesday.
Michel highly appraised the traditional friendship and fruitful
cooperation between the two countries, while expressing gratitude
to China's longtime support of Seychelles' construction.
He wished that the two countries could explore new fields and
channels of cooperation and the friendly relations could be
continually consolidated and strengthened.
Ismail Amat also highlighted the favorable cooperation between
the two countries in the fields of politics, economy, culture and
international issues.
He thanked the east African country for its adherence to the
one-China policy.
The Chinese lawmakers, invited by the National Assembly of
Seychelles, arrived in Victoria on Monday for a friendly visit.
